CHARITY SUPPORT PROGRAM
1.
Senior enlisted personnel from each unit
identify Marines and Sailors to receive a
gift card for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The
names submitted is based on “need”.
2.
The names are sent to my point of contact at
the chaplain's office. 223 names were
submitted this year.
3.
The gift cards are purchased at the
Wal-Mart. The total cost this year was
$11,150.00 for 223 ($50.00) gift cards.
$4,395.00 was used from donations received
by generous givers and the remaining
$6,755.00 came from the chapel's "Religious
Offering Fund." This is an account that is
funded by church going members to be used
for the sole purpose of charity and making
contributions to non-profit organizations at
the base and in the civilian community.

The Wounded Warrior Bn
WOThe
Wounded Warrior Bn East was started my LtCol
Maxwell who was one of the first high
ranking officers wounded in Operation Iraqi
Freedom. We house and help rehabilitate
wounded Marines returning from Iraq or
Afghanistan.
We have staff that works
round the clock to make sure the Marines are
getting the care they need and staying in
contact with the Marines assigned to
specialty hospitals around the country. Our
main facility is Based here at Camp Lejeune
for the Wounded Warriors Bn East however,
we have a counterpart
on the West coast and at
Marine Corps Headquarters.

John C Carr Center:
During
2007 we help assist over 125 Veterans,
widows, active duty and their families at an
expense of over $65,000.00 out of (10)
volunteers pockets through many services.
Ramps, food, gas, transportation, clothes,
Christmas toys & food, filing claims, under
standing benefits, repairs and etc.
The
Lancers was attached as all volunteers of
the Carr Center are also the same with
Lancers which works in the background.
